Review: Call of Duty World At War

Howdy folks! Firstly I wish to thank you all for viewing my blog. 200 views. Thank you so much.

I'm here today to discuss, probably the most disappointing games in recent history, yet also at the same time, had the ability to attract a certain genre to the series with a little feature known as NAZI ZOMBIES
Ladies and gentlemen, World at War.

Now, by this time, it was a foolish move by Activision and Treyarch to produce yet another WW2 game, seeing as the era had been done to death: Medal of Honor Airborne, History Channel Presents, previous COD titles and so on. Yet this game, while the multiplayer was a little bit disappointing, was well thought out for its campaign and the soon-to-be-beloved, Nazi Zombie mode, which, in this gamer's opinion, pretty much saved Treyarch from going belly up.

With the beginning of the campaign starting out (...once again...) as a faceless man, you begin your journey from being captured on Matol Island to Islands that surround Japan during 1942.
However, you also get to play as a young Russian soldier named Dimitri, aiding a battled hardened Reznov, through the destroyed streets of Stalingrad, through the countryside of Germany and right into the middle of Berlin. (Side note: While the Russians were indeed able to get into Berlin, they were not the first Allied country to do so. The French was)
World At War's campaign was supposed to be a challenge to the now ever popular Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare, but unfortunately, despite the brilliant acting of Gary Oldman, failed.
The multiplayer, despite several attempts to be fixed with both updates and DLC maps, the game still was able to be hacked, filled with bugs and the levels created were easily able for "Campers" to kill freely, causing many disgruntled players quit and not play the game.

While this both demonstrates the games pro's and con's, its onto the epic Nazi Zombies.

With 3 simple maps to being with (As Black Ops has now), the majority of gamers between Multiplayer and Zombies changed dramatically with a 3-1 ratio.
Despite some protest by the German community, this request to have the title removed was denied due to International War Law (All past war act/crimes cannot be denied existance by involving partie(s) under threats of imprisonment - Patriot Act A-NZ-USA-CN-UK)
The feature involved the players having to kill various Zombies to earn a currency, to buy weaponry, ammunition and release door ways and blockades in the hopes to reach a safety point for a certain amount of time. Either that or the gamers may choose to pick off an enclosed area and camp, as the waves of Zombies was infinite.

This game was not fairly remembered for its terrific acting or its decent Multiplayer, but it will certainly be remembered for how it brought the world an easy and effective way to destroy and rip limb from limb, Zombies of all moans and screams.
Out of 10, I gave Call Of Duty World At War an 7/10
