Review: Gears Of War

Hey folks

To start off this brand new Angenda, I wanted to start with one of the most difficult yet addictive games of the early beginnings of the Xbox 360; Gears of War

Released in November of 2006, this game was released to thepublic with open arms; the previews and gameplay released to the public it the gaming community all abuzz to play this TPS in a world taken over by beastly monsters called The Locust.
Fighting a war against a genicidal race, claiming that humanity to be a plague against the world they share, and with their life threatened against this mostly unknown race, the people of Cera take arms to fight this force of large magnitude.
One of the first observations I made while playing this game was the ease of the controls. Even with the player's guide through the campaign, playing the game comes as easy as breathing but despite the second games release two years after the first, the protagonist Marcus Fenix places the rule quite easily. "Take cover or die"
Second to mention would be the fantastic storyline, world and acting by the cast and the creators. John DiMaggio as Marcus Fenix and Carlos Ferro as Dom Santiago make a brilliant team straight from the getgo from releasing Marcus from Prison right up to the battle against RAM.

The only small dissapointment are the following.

The multiplayer of the game, while interesting, can be extremely buggish and lag; the same problem as the second game had. The gameplay as well, was brilliant, yet tended to freeze at some point or the graphics themselves would be slightly squarish in appearence and the characters would end up as slightly inhuman blobs.

Gears of War was an intriguing game and was made beautifully by the team at Epic, the creators of Digital techknowlogy. With the help of Microsoft, this game flourished and developed into the series that we now love and cannot simply for the final epologue to be released later this year.
Cliff Blezinski, thank you for this terrific game.

Out of 10, I gave Gears of War a 8/10
