Review: Medal of Honor - Airborne

G'day there folks.

While old in the eyes of many gamers, this 2007 release was the beginning of many new First Person Shooters, as well as EA's reputation for realistic gameplay, to come into fruition. MOH Airborne follows one of the many divisions of the 101st and 88th Airborne and their successes and failures during World War 2.

Despite being five years old, the gameplay is still as challenging as ever. With realistic gameplay, a few simple shots will end your life, and with Checkpoints only activating if you have completed a task, you will be sent back to the very start with all previous enemies you have killed alive once more.
Graphics are of decent quality while their age is starting to show, along with the acting quality. Many of the German voice actors weren't completely up to snuff, many even sounding like their American counterparts.
One of the greatest qualities of this game is the musical score; both uplifting in times of triumph and the shame of defeat, the classical score adds much need drama and that little bit of a kick in the pants the player needs to continue onward.

Unfortunately, while the multiplayer was of decent quality a few years ago, it has become unavailable to anyone who doesn't have the original disc (As I downloaded it from Game Marketplace) so I can't give a proper review on that.

While the multiplayer is gone, the campaign is still a great challenge for any person who is looking to having their abilities tested. Both hair pulling and frustrating at times, this classic game that looks back on some of the greatest achievements of the Allied Forces.

Out of 10, I gave MOH Airborne an 7.5/10

Good points: Musical score is brilliant.
                    Gameplay is unique

Bad points:   Difficulty level = frustration
                    Multiplayer issues
