Review: Mortal Kombat Arcade

Hey howdy hey folks!

Since us Australians can't get Mortal Kombat 9 until next year, I decided to download the Arcade titles, bringing back not only a wave of nostalgia but also the fun and simplistic stylings that the MK series is known for.

All three classic arcade titles are here in the game, from the very first game to the third, inspiring many young minds, worldwide game developers who were only just beginning as well as two movies. The gameplay is still as easy as ever, that being the classic A, B, Y and joystick movements. All characters make a comeback, as well as the secret characters such as Goro and such.
Nothing has been changed since the arcade titles with the exception being both Achievements and Multiplayer through Xbox Live.

The Multiplayer system runs off simular stylings to Infinity Ward; searching through connectivitiy and availability, starting from closest to farthest. To rid of internet lag, gameplay is halted after you choose a character and then connected directly.
This makes fighting your opponent with ease, so that pulling punches isn't as simple.

Nothing much can be said about the game, other than the fact that game is a classic, the Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 version being more closely to the Nintendo 64 remake of the game. For any veteran gamer or even brand new to the series, there is nothing more satisfying the firing up this game, heading for a match and being prepared for MORTAL KOMBAT!
Out of 10, I gave Mortal Kombat Arcade an 9/10

Good points: A return of a classic, untampered
                    Achievements a nice touch

Bad points:   Controls on the 360 controller a little clunky.
                    I. Hate. Jade. So. Annoying.
